Gail S. Bernstein, Ph.D.

Dr. Bernstein earned her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1978. She is currently in private practice; has clinical faculty appointments at the University of Denver School of Professional Psychology and the University of Colorado School of Medicine; and is a past Chair of the Group for the Study of Gay and Lesbian Issues of the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy.

Most of her recent writing, teaching and clinical work has addressed ways to meet the needs of lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Dr. Bernstein's 1995 chapter on behavior therapy with lesbian and gay individuals (co-authored with Dr. Megan Miller) appeared in Progress in Behavior Modification Vol. 30.

Dr. Bernstein's most recent accomplishment is the production of a audiotape, entitled, Not Heterosexual: An Educational Audiotape About Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual People. Information about Dr. Bernstein's excellent audiotape.
